Questions and Answers about Rose Petals

Common Questions and Answers on Rose Petals:

Q: How many petals are there in a bag?

A: Well, it depends on the color and specific type of rose and usually there are between 600 and 800 petals in a single bag. We usually use 3 dozen rose heads to make a bag.

Q: How many bags of rose petals do I need?

A: 1 bag is enough to lightly cover 3-4 tables or for 20-30 guest to toss or for a 3 foot by 10 foot walkway.

Q: Should I order fresh or freeze dried petals?

A: If you want to set up the petals earlier in the day, you should use freeze dried. If you are doing a toss and want to package them ahead of time, freeze dried is better. Fresh petals are better for cooler climates, last minute decorating, indoor weddings and they typically look better and more luscious. Freeze dried have the same smell and look as fresh but they not as soft and velvety and are slightly smaller.

The price is the same for either option but shipping is a straight $29 for fresh no matter how many you order because they have to be shipped overnight. Whereas shipping for freeze dried petals depends on how many bags you order because they are shipped via the United States Postal Service.

Q: How many cups are in your bags and how much do they weigh?

A: We do not sell by cups or by weight, but one bag is about the size of a shoe box.

Q: What is freeze dried?

A: Freeze drying basically takes the water out of the petals so they won’t wilt while maintaining their fragrance and shape. It preserves the petals to last a long time.
